Aurora on Saturday will hold its fifth annual Global Fest event, which celebrates international cultures in a city where one in five residents was born outside the United States.

Global Fest will feature a day filled with music, dance, art and food from around the world. The event includes two stages of performances, food vendors with global flavors, a Parade of Nations, an International Fashion Show and a beer garden.

New this year are an expanded children’s activities area in partnership with the Mexican Cultural Center, an exhibit at the Aurora History Museum focused on the history and contributions of Aurora’s Salvadoran community, and a photography exhibit on Mexican choreographer Amalia Hernández.

Global Fest will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Aurora Municipal Center, 15151 E. Alameda Parkway.
