It’s musical chairs for restaurants. Follow along:

Chef/founder Lon Symensma is opening a second location of BorraCho Tacos, originally located in the Avanti food hall, in a space on South Broadway, according to a press release.

That second BorraCho will replace Symensma’s Cho77, closing on Sept. 27 at 42 S. Broadway. And then Symensma will be opening a new Cho77 downtown this winter, to be located alongside ChoLon Modern Asian and LeRoux at 16th and Blake streets.

Phew.

The new BorraCho Tacos will open at 42 S. Broadway on Oct. 3.

In addition, chef Kevin Chu will expand BorraCho Taco’s existing menu on South Broadway with a larger variety of both traditional Mexican tacos like al pastor and carne asada, as well as more unique, internationally influenced flavors such as the Tipsy Thai or Korean BBQ.

On Oct. 3, BorraCho South Broadway will offer an all-day happy hour, which includes discounted pricing on tacos and signature beverages, starting at 4 p.m.

Cho77 will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, seven days a week, showcasing new sake program and menu items such as breakfast soup dumplings.
